Premier League Young Writers Award Winner
Jeriah Boateng, an 11-year-old from Croydon, is a passionate footballer and writer. An attacking forward for Brighton & Hove Albion’s academy since the age of 7, Jeriah has big dreams both on and off the pitch. His love for storytelling earned him the Premier League Academy Young Writer of the Year Award as the U10 category winner in the 2022/2023 season and overall winner for 2023/2024 with his story, Back in Time. Jeriah has set up his own publishing house, Legacy Line Publishers and hopes to help other children write their books as well as write more books of his own.
As the eldest of four siblings, Jeriah is a leader both on the field and at home, where he lives with his parents and younger siblings, Zachary, Ariana, and Elias. Through his writing, Jeriah hopes to inspire young footballers and readers by sharing his story and highlighting the challenges of dealing with racism in football.
